I'm a web developer / software designer with a teaching background; I started web development as a means to further my teaching career, but I've realized that I really love programming, and I've learned a lot; so, I'm now looking to branch out as a freelancer.
Please let me know what your needs are; for a simple site (4 or 5 pages, a contact form, nice splash-screen intro) I charge $300.
If you have other requirements (transactions, database, hosting, etc.) I can help you with that; send me an email and tell me about your project, and I'll give you a quote.
Technical info: I code using HTML, Javascript, and CSS (no Wordpress/Squarespace); Coding a site without a graphic interface can can be more time-consuming, but it allows for greater flexibility with design, and often faster page performance as well.
Specifically, for front-end development I use React, NextJS, and Tailwind, as well as some of my own custom classes and components. The back end, if necessary, varies depending on needs; I use Firebase services a lot, and have also worked a fair bit with Express + MongoDB. I use Typescript; you'll be delivered an organized, coherent codebase upon project completion.
I don't use AI in my creative process; I don't plan to use it in the near future. This may or may not matter to you. (I do sometimes use it for basic voice dictation to give my arms a rest).
